Ok, so blogging is for people who have lots of free time.  I have been so busy since March, that I haven't had the time to Blog.  We have had a lot happen since then betwween our trip to Kentucky and our recent appearance on TLC's Cake Boss!  We have met some great people and experienced some incredible spirit activity.  We get so busy doing what we do and working hard at producing our tv series on Para-X, that we just lose track of time.  So its nice when you get some feedback that lets you know that someone appreciates what you do!

   We get some great emails from people and some send us some incredible pictures!  Recently we go an email from the land down under, Australia, which I want to share with you.  It comes from Aussie Jeff from Melbourne and it really made our day!  Here it is;

Hi Pat & Doug,
    I'm Jeff (AussieJeff on Para-X chat) from Melbourne, Australia and I've slowly been catching up with all the great stuff you guys  have put together online.

    The shows you create are so entertaining and interesting that someone like me, without any real background in American history, can sit there from start to finish and be riveted.    You two are a great team. You're the Jake and Elroy Blues of ghost hunting. Your shows actually make me want to go all the way to the US to see the sites you report on and if I had the cash, I would be there in a flash. I mean it. You guys are so lucky to have access to all those historic places.

    I'm 43 and I only stumbled across EVPs last September when I recorded myself snoring and a woman spoke to me right there in the recorder beside me as I slept.
She replied to a joke I had made while visiting a friend earlier in the night about a ghost visiting me to tell me when to buy a lottery ticket.
She whispered clearly, "a ticket, the 27th".    Unfortunately she didn't say which ticket or which 27th. :-(

THIS PAST SATURDAY, WE WERE INVITED TO A DINNER AT THE FAIRFIELD INN, JUST SOUTH OF GETTYSBURG, PA.  LEEANNE AND ANGELA OF SPIRITED HISTORY WERE OUR HOSTS AND THIS WAS DURING PHENOMONOLOGY 103, SO THERE WERE A FEW PARANORMAL TEAMS THAT ALSO ATTENDED.  ALMOST EVERYONE WE MET WAS GREAT, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF ONE TABLE FILLED WITH A FORMER TV GROUP, WHO HAD AS MUCH PERSONALITY AS A WET NOODLE.  THE FAIRFIELD INN IS A HAUNTED BED AND BREAKFAST THAT I DISCOVERED SEVERAL YEARS AGO, BEFORE IT WAS A KNOWN SITE.  THERE WAS A BATTLE PRIOR TO GETTYSBURG AT THE TOWN AND MANY CASUALTIES BEFORE THE UNION CAVALRY WAS RUN OFF.

THE BUILDING DATES TO THE 1750'S AND IS MADE OF STONE.  WE ALL KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS!  YES STONE HOLDS ENERGY LONGER, LIKE SPIRIT ENERGY.  NOW WE WERE JUST HAVING DINNER AND ENJOYING THE GREAT FOOD AND GOOD CONVERSATION, WHEN SOMETHING STARTED VIBRATING MY FOOT.  THIS HAPPENS TO ME AROUND SPIRITS ONLY, AND I KNEW THAT SOMEONE WAS THERE.   I DID NOT NEED A VAN FILLED WITH A MILLION DOLLARS OF EQUIPMENT TO KNOW THAT THERE WAS A GHOST IN THE ROOM.  LATER, ANOTHER PERSON HAD AN EXPERIENCE AT THE SAME TIME I DID.

ONE OF THE GREAT PEOPLE WE MET WAS LINDA FROM THE IRON ISLAND MUSEUM.  ANOTHER GROUP WAS WITH THE PALMYRA HITSORICAL GROUP AND THEN THERE WAS 2 GUYS FROM BUFFALO PARANORMAL INVESTIGATORS, PATRICK AND PAUL.  THE NEXT DAY WE WOULD RUN INTO PAUL IN TOWN JUST AFTER WE HAD GOTTEN OUT FIRST CLASS A EVP OF THE DAY, ON THE BATTLEFIELD.  WE PLAYED IT FOR PAUL WHO WAS VERY EXCITED WHEN HE HEARD IT SAY "THERE'S A SOLDIER BY THE FENCE".  WOW, HE SAID. "WHERE DID YOU GET THAT?"  "ON AN ISOLATED PART OF THE BATTLEFIELD", I REPLIED.  LATER WHILE SOME PEOPLE WERE AT THE CONFERENCE, DOUG AND I WENT INTO THE HEART OF THE BATTLEFIELD AND WOUND UP FINDING AND CROSSING OVER SEVERAL SOLDIERS.  AT THE END OF THE DAY WE RAN INTO MORE FRIENDS(REBEL REENACTORS WE KNOW) AT TOMMY'S PIZZA AND HAD ANOTHER DINNER WITH FRIENDS!

This year my new years resolution is the same as last years, "NO DRAMA SHOULD ENTER INTO PARANORMAL INVESTIGATIONS".  It is a good thing to remember and there is way too much to do and learn about the paranormal to get stuck in drama.  Thanks to Para-X, we are airing our shows now, which take up alot of time and effort, and so the last thing any gorup needs is drama.  Some people like drama, even tho they say they don't.  Some people cause drama by not listening, or by running off half-cocked without any training or idea what they are doing.  More and more people think that ghost hunting is a good hobby.  Well let me tell you that it is not a hobby and the consequences can be dire!

Although most hauntings are just human ghosts who are not dangerous, there are bad entities out there who are waiting to pounce on someone who may be unaware of what they are doing.  Maybe they think that ghost hunting is fun and they invite their friends along for kicks and maybe nothing happens.  But they are rolling the dice and sooner or later every group runs into a real bad guy.  THese bad guys feed off fear, fear that comes with inexperience and lack of knowledge.  I have seen people physically get hurt and have to leave, never to come back.   One guy had a spirit reach in and grab his heart, as he felt like he was having a heart-attack!  He was in real pain and thought he was going to die.  Their are many stories from around the country about this very thing happening.  It is happening more and more, as every yahoo with a camera and a digital audio recorder, thinks they are a paranormal investigator.  Most never debunk anything, and jump to conclusions, which is completely the opposite of what good investigators do.  Whats even funnier is when you try to warn people that what they are doing is putting themselves in jeapordy, and they get mad and snap at you.  All I know is that this stuff is real and should be taken very seriously and you should think twice about taking up this new hobby.  IF you do not have training, get some.  The Ghost Hunters Store has some great classes that can help you if you still want to go forward.  If not, try stamp collecting, because ghost hunting is not a hobby.

This past weekend, we were honored to be allowed to be the first paranormal investigators to check out the Stage Coach House in Lancaster, PA., due to a story from a former resident.  It seems that several different people who have slept in the one room, have awoken to see and hear a stage coach go thru a wall across the room and out the other side thru another wall!!!!!  One man apparently after several of these sightings, would not sleep upstairs after that for years to come.  The house was built in the 1750's and before that there was a cabin on the property.  It is also the location of an undeground spring, which may be why the stage coach stopped here at some point in time.

Originally, the plans were to demolish the house, until a group bought it and are now restoring it!  The fact that the history of this land goes back to the 1600's means that native people also lived on the property.

We met Jan at the house and got some pics while it was still light out.  Then we started our "baseline sweep" of the house with 21 rooms.  As we took notice of temps and EMF's, we were in the attic when we heard a noise on the other side of the attic.  We checked it out and then heard a noise from the room below.  Not finding anything, we went back up into the attic and stood still.  That is when Jan's hat flew off her head, as if someone had hit the bill with their hand and knocked it off!!!  I swung around as I heard her say Oh-My... what the heck?  She was not moving and was not near anything that might have knocked it off.  NICE.  Then as we were coming down out of the attic, I turned to Doug and said, close that door!  Lets trap them up there.  As we left that room and headed down the stairs, we all heard the sound of the door opening!!!  We scrambled back up into the room and yes indeed the door had opened.  I tried to debunk it by jumping up and down on the floor, slamming into the wall and yet the door remained closed.  Then as we started down again, the door opens.....no shit.

When we set up our cameras and got ready to go to dinner and lockdown the house, I turned to Jan and said, I will close and latch this door and if we come back and its open, then we got something.  We went to dinner and met with Deb and her daughter Natalie, and filled them in on what had happened.  After a great dinner, we headed back in and to our surprise, the door's latch had been opened!!!!  NO way!  The rest of the night we had doors open behind us and heard sounds and we cannot wait to get back and do another investigation!!!!

THIS PAST WEEKEND, WE WERE INVITED TO JOIN THE SPIRITED HISTORY LADIES IN RICHMOND FOR A PARANORMAL INVESTIGATION AND WE HAD A GREAT TIME!  NEW SITES ARE ALWAYS EXCITING AND LEEANNE AND ANGELA HAD SET UP TWO GREAT HISTORIC SITES FOR US AND A FEW OTHERS. 

WHILE MOST OF THE GROUP WENT TO HOLLYWOOD CEMETERY DURING THE DAY, I HAD TO SLEEP TO GET READY FOR THE OTHER TWO SITES AND THE MAIN EVENTS LATER THAT NIGHT.  WE MET EVERYONE AT MONUMENTAL CHURCH ON BROAD STREET.  THIS IS THE SITE OF THE RICHMOND THEATER FIRE OF 1811, WHICH KILLED 72 PEOPLE.  THEIR REMAINS WERE BURIED IN TWO CASKETS(ALL THE ASH AND BONES) IN A CRYPT UNDER THE CHURCH.  THE GROUP MET UP AND SOON WE WERE IN THE BASEMENT NEAR THE CRYPT.  ALMOST IMMEDIATELY I GOT A NAME ON MY AUDIO RECORDER...HEATHER LOCKE, BUT WE COULD NOT FIND HER NAME LISTED ON THE ACTUAL MONUMET IN FRONT OF THE CHURCH.  ALTHOUGH THEY COULD NOT IDENTIFY EVERYONE AND IT MIGHT BE THAT HEATHER WAS ONE THEY MISSED,NOT SURE.

WE HAD SOME EXPERIENCES NEAR THE TOMB AND THERE WAS SOMEONE WALKING AROUND NEAR US.  WHEN WE WENT UPSTAIRS AND ANGELA READ A LETTER FROM A FATHER WHO LOST PART OF HIS FAMILY IN THE FIRE, WE STARTED GETTING WORDS ON THE PX BOX.  THE BOX HAD BEEN ON FOR AWHILE, BUT NOTHING HAD COME FROM IT, UNITL THE LETTER WAS READ!

THE NEXT SITE WAS THE "POE MUSUEM", WHICH IS ACTUALLY 4 HOUSES AND A COURTYARD, 3 OF WHICH WE WERE ALLOWED INTO.  JAMIE GAVE US A GREAT TOUR AND THEN CRAIG, ME AND DOUG FOUND OURSELVES UPSTAIRS IN THE OLD STONE HOUSE.  WE ATTEMPTED TO MAKE CONTACT AND GOT SOME QUIET EVPS, BUT SOMEONE KEPT RUNNING IN AND OUT OF THE ROOM.  LATER DAVID(NJ) SAID IT WAS A SMALL BOY.  AS WE WERE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE STEPS AND ABOUT TO LEAVE, I SAID "OK YOUNG MAN, HERE IS YOUR CHANCE TO SHOW ME WHAT YOU GOT!  CAN YOU MAKE A NOISE FOR ME?"   THERE WAS A LOUD THUD UPSTAIRS AND DAVID LAUGHED AND SAID, "THERE'S YOUR NOISE"!

AFTER THAT WE MET LAURA AND DAVID(VA) IN THE COURTYARD WHERE THEY WERE DOING A DIVING ROD SESSION.  WE THEN GOT ANSWERS FROM SEVERAL CHILDREN(5), BUT WE DID NOT KNOW THEIR NAMES.   WHEN WE STARTED ASKING FOR NAMES, I HEARD "SCOTTIE" IN MY HEAD AND SO i ASKED IS YOUR NAME SCOTTIE? AND THE RODS CROSSED(WHICH MEANS YES).  DOUG PICKED OUT THE NAME EMILY, WHICH GOT A YES, AND THEN CHARLES, WHICH ALSO GOT A YES!
LAURA GOT THE NAME PETER AND I HEARD THE NAME "REBECCA", BOTH OF WHICH WERE CORRECT!!!  IN THE END THE SNOW FLAKES FELL AND WE ALL HAD A GREAT TIME IN RICHMOND!

We would like to thank all those who helped raise money for the Haldeman Mansion Preservation Society.  Our Real Ghost Hunts collected $1300 for the "SAVE THE ROOF FUND".  People from all over Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia drove to this event and everyone had a great time, while learning the history of this great site.  Despite challenges from all sides, and at great cost to us of our time and money, we had a successful first year!  Our goal to "SAVE THE ROOF" for future generations to enjoy is one step closer. 

Ghost Soldiers was instrumental in connecting the key people who can help get us a grant to restore the mansion! During our downtime, Doug and I went on a private paranormal investigation which led to us meeting with and gaining the respect and trust of a major player in the area, who has followed through on her promiss to help us contact the right people!  
   
So if you are one of the great people we had come thru our REAL GHOST HUNTS and had a great time, please let the preservation society know that you support GHOST SOLDIERS! Call them. Tell them that the paranormal does not take away from the history, just the opposite, it highlights it!!!! 

This building belongs to the PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES and is on the NATIONAL HISTORIC REGISTRY.   Did you know conspiracy to embezell funds from a site on the National Historic Site is a FELONY???? While other goups are so arrogant as to openly desecrate this hallowed structure by drving screws into 200 year old molding, destroying the building for personal gain, we gave our time and our money to try to make the world a little nicer and to really make a difference by saving a great building belonging to one of the greatest scientists in american history.  We also shared this neat piece of local folklore with members of the surrounding communities to enjoy. 

The preservation society has done great things in the past, now it is up to each of us to make sure we go forward and see this site restored and not let anything interfere with our goal to restore this building for future generations to enjoy. 

Last weekend we started our REAL GHOST HUNTS at the Haldeman Mansion in Bainbridge, Pa and what a great time we had!  I started by talking to the spirits in the mansion and letting them know what we were doing.  I walked upstairs and called them all together and explained that we were trying to raise money to save the roof and that if they cuold help us by interacting with the people we bring thru, that would help us and help them as well.  I hoped they understood and would give people an experience, but there was no guarrantee.

When the first two people went thru, the first thing that happened was in the basement.  A woman first got chills and when we asked "Peter", who is a spirit that hangs out in the basement, to make a noise...we got it! WOW.  After some EVPS, we heard sounds that could have been someone walking and then we heard more sounds.  We thanked him and went on with our tour.

Everywhere we went, people go touched, we heard sounds and we lost batteries.  One sound upstairs we heard was two loud breaths and later a laugh.  One young girl saw a "face" near a window on the second floor.  Later Doug would get an evp from a liitle girl named Emily Haldeman and another from Samuel Haldeman himself saying clearly "THANK YOU"!!!  IT was then that I realized that they understood what we were doing and the fact that we had so much happen, was due to the fact that they wanted to help!  How cool is that?

So if you want to help us save this historic site for future generations to enjoy, come out to the Haldeman Mansion this weekend and next and go on a ghost hunt that is the real deal.

THIS WEEKEND WE WILL PRESENT OUR "REAL GHOST HUNTS" AT THE HALDEMAN MANSION IN BAINBRIDGE, PA.  THIS GIVES THE AVERAGE PERSON A CHANCE TO GO ON A REAL GHOST HUNT IN A KNOWN ACTIVE LOCATION!  WE WANTED TO DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT THAN THE USUAL TEEN-AGERS JUMPING OUT TO SCARE YOU.  THIS TIME, THE SCARE IS REAL. 

THE HALDEMAN MANSION HAS BEEN INVESTIGATED BY SEVERAL TEAM, WHO HAVE ALL COME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT IT IS INDEED HAUNTED!  SO MUCH EVIDENCE HAS BEEN COLLECTED TO SUPPORT THIS THAT IT IS NOT EVEN A QUESTION ANYMORE.  NOW YOU CAN ENJOY A PARANORMAL INVESTIGATION FOR YOURSELF WITHOUT BREAKING THE BANK.  EASTER STATE PENN GETS A LOT OF TALK, BUT THE LACK OF EVIDENCE COMING OUT OF THERE IS ALARMING.  WHILE WE CANNOT GUARRANTEE THAT YOU WILL HAVE SOMETHING HAPPEN, YOU HAVE A MUCH BETTER CHANCE OF SOMETHING HAPPENING AT THE MANSION THAN YOU WOULD AT THE SUPER LARGE PENNITENTIARY.

LAST WEEKEND, WE WERE AT THE BURLINGTON COUNTY PRISON IN NEW JERSEY AND OF THE FOUR OF US, WE ALL HAD SOMETHING HAPPEN TO EACH PERSON.  ONE GUY HAD HIS SHIRT TUGGED, ANOTHER WOMAN FELT SUCH SADNESS, SHE STARTED TO CRY, AND DOUG OUR FEARLESS INVESTIGATOR, HAD A DOOR PUSH BACK AGAINST HIM.  AFTER WE LEFT, WE HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THE NEXT DAY, THE ROPE ON THE GALLOWS HAD BEEN MOVED AND THE ORGANIZERS OF THE HAUNTED PRISON SET UP IN THE BACK, THOUGHT WE HAD DONE IT.  THAT NIGHT WE HAD STAYED OUT OF THE BACK YARD AT THE REQUEST OF THE ORGANIZERS AND NONE OF US HAD GONE NEAR THE GALLOWS OR MOVED THE ROPE.  THESE ARE THE KINDS OF THINGS THAT HAPPEN WHEN WE ARE AROUND AND WE ARE HOPEFUL THAT MANY PEOPLE WHO VISIT THE MANSION OVER THE NEXT FEW WEEKS WILL HAVE THEIR OWN EXPERIENCES!!!

THIS PAST WEEKEND WE WERE FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO INVESTIGATE THE LANDON HOUSE WITH A FEW OTHER GROUPS: HAPS. SPIRITED HISTORY(PARA-X RADIO),LYCO PARANORMAL AND US.  KEVIN DOLAN THE OWNER OF THE LANDON HOUSE WAS THERE AS WELL AND HE STARTED THINGS OFF BY INTERVIEWING ALL OF US FOR "PARANORMAL JOURNEYS", HIS INTERNET TV SHOW THAT HIGHLIGHTS THE PARANORMAL.  WE DISCUSSED WHAT WE HAD FOUND IN OUR LAST INVESTIGATION AND WHAT HIS PLANS WERE FOR THE LANDON HOUSE.  COL JOSHUA CHAMBERLAIN SHOWED UP AND ADDED TO THE EXCITEMENT.

LEANNE FROM SPIRITED HISTORY AND HER HUSBAND CLARKE WERE VERY EXCITED TO BE AT THE LANDON HOUSE WITH ITS RICH HISTORY.  AFTER TOURING THE GROUNDS, WE ALL SET UP OUR GEAR AND STARTED OUR INVESTIGATIONS.  WE SPLIT UP INTO TWO GROUPS AND MYSELF, CRAIG AND DOUG WENT INTO THE BASEMENT, WHILE JOHN, DON, DON LEANNE AND CLARKE WENT UP TO THE THIRD FLOOR.

I HAD GOTTEN TWO EVPS OUTSIDE BEFORE I EVEN WENT INTO THE BUILDING THAT DAY.  ONCE IN THE BASEMENT WE GOT SOME RESPONSE, BUT NOTHING TOO CLEAR.  WE WENT UP TO THE FIRST FLOOR, WE HEARD SOME NOISES FROM IN THE KITCHEN.  WE INVESTIGATED BUT DID NOT FIND ANY THING THAT WOULD POINT TO THE PARANORMAL.  FROM THERE WE WENT INTO THE MIDDLE ROOM WITH THE FIREPLACES AND DID SOME EVPS.  I ASKED SOME VERY SPECIFIC QUESTIONS AIMED AT JEB STUART AND STARTED GETTING RESPONSES. MY QUESTIONS WERE OF DETAILS THAT MOST PEOPLE WOULD NOT KNOW AND I HAD DONE MY RESEARCH TO FIND QUESTIONS THAT WOULD LET ME KNOW IF i WAS INDEED TALKING TO JEB STUART.  HIS RESPONSES WERE CORRECT INCLUDING GIVNING US THE NAME OF THE TROOPER KILLED ON HIS FIRST RIDE AROUND MCLELLANS ARMY IN JUNE OF 1862, WILLIAM LATAINE.  THIS SEALED THE DEAL FOR ME AND I AM NOW CONVICNED THAT WE SPOKE WITH BRIG. GEN JAMES EWELL BROWN STUART THAT NIGHT.  HOW COOL IS THAT?

WITH A UNION OFFICER IN THE ROOM(DOUG DRESSED AS COL CHAMBERLAIN), THE GENREAL SEEMED AT EASE AND MORE WILLING TO TALK TO US THAN HE HAD BEFORE.  AGAIN, KNOWING YOUR PREY IN THIS CASE PAID OFF.  DOUG EVEN ASKED IF THEIR HAD BEEN A "FIGHT" DURING THE "SABRES AND ROSES BALL" WHICH HE HELD RIGHT BEFORE THE BATTLE OF ANTIETAM AND WE HEARD THE WORD "FIGHT" AND THEN "YES".  TURNS OUT THERE HAD BEEN A "SKIRMISH" IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BALL AND ALL OF THE MEN LEFT ON HORSEBACK, FOUGHT FEDERAL TROOPS NEAR HYATTSTOWN JUST DOWN THE ROAD, THEN GALLOPED BACK AND FINISHED THE DANCE!!!!!

THE REST OF THE NIGHT WAS EQUALLY EXCITING WIHT US GETTING A CLASS A EVP IN THE CHAPEL OUTSIDE THAT SAID "LEAVE NOW".  CRAIG LATER SAW A BLUE LIGHT IN THE BALLROOM, WHICH WAS LOCKED FOR THE NIGHT!!!!  I HAD SEEN SOMETHING SIMILAR LAST TIME WE WERE THERE. LATER AS WE WERE LEAVING, JOHN CURLEY FROM HAPS AHD THE FRONT DOOR PULLED OUT OF HIS HANDS AND SLAM SHUT!!!!  DOUG HAD SOMEONE TOUCH HIM ON THE SHOULDER AT ONE POINT. LEANNE HAD HER CAMERA TURN OFF WHILE HOLDING IT UPSTAIRS IN THE SAME ROOM IN WHICH I HAD MY CAMERA TURN OFF A FEW WEEKS AGO!  SHE ALERTED US TO THE GENTELMAN UPSTAIRS WHO WANTED HELP TO CROSSOVER AND WE DID EVENTUALLY CROSS HIM OVER AFTER WE HEARD HIM SAY THE WORDS "AGONY, SHOT, STOMACH, DISASTER, HELP, LIGHT, HAPPIER....HOW COULD ANYONE NOT FEEL FOR THIS GUY AFTER HEARING THAT???  SO WE DID GET HIM TO CROSSOVER AND MIGHT HAVE EVEN GOTTEN A SECOND SOLIDER AS WELL.  BUT JUST BECAUSE THEY CROSSED OVER DOES NOT MEAN THAT THEY ARE GONE FOREVER.

WE OFTEN FIND THAT ONCE THEY CROSSOVER, THE ARE ANXIOUS TO COME BACK TO WHERE THEY HAD SPENT SO MUCH TIME, ONLY NOW THEY ARE NOT IN PAIN AND CAN ACTUALLY HELP INVESTIGATORS TALK TO OTHER SPIRITS, WHICH WE HAVE HAD HAPPEN.  NOW REMEMBER THIS PLACE WAS A UNION HOSPTIAL AFTER THE BATTLES OF SOUTH MOUNTAIN AND ANTIETAM.  ANTIETAM WAS THE BLOODIETS DAY IN HISTORY WITH 23,000 AMERICANS KILLED OR WOUNDED IN JUST 24 HOURS.  THERE WERE ONLY 140 BUILDILNGS IN OR NEAR FREDERICK MARYLAND AND THE  LANDON HOUSE WAS ONE OF THE BIGGEST!  SO DOING THE MATH, YOU CAN SEE HOW ANYWHERE FROM 700- 1300 SOLDIERS WOULD HAVE BEEN ON THE GROUNDS OR IN THE HOUSE DURING THAT TIME.  WITH SURVIVAL RATES BEING AROUND 20-30 PERCENT OR LESS, THAT GIVES US 300-400 DEAD SOLDIERS IN OR  AROUND THE LANDON HOUSE, LEAVING PLENTY OF GHOSTS FOR EVERYONE TO FIND, THE NEXT TIME THEY WANT SOME SPIRITED HISTORY!!!
